Solar Energy System for your Home

Install the solar pv energy system for your home. See a return in an investment that helps the environment. Reduce your carbon footprint.

How does it work?

Sunlight is used to produce Electricity through a process called solar photovoltaics (pv). The semi-conducting materials within Photovoltaic cells create electricity when sunlight strikes.

Get Paid to use Solar PV Energy

Government backed tariffs known as Feed in Tariffs (FITS) are payments made by energy companies to any individual who installs a system to generate their own electricity, including Solar Photovoltaics (PV). More information can be found at www.fitariffs.co.uk

Tariff levels, for technologies installed between 15th July 2009 and 31st March 2012 of most significance to householders

Technology Scale Tariff Level (p/kWh) Tariff Lifetime (years)
Solar Electricity (PV) ≤4 kW (retro fit:pre 12 December) 43.3 25
Solar Electricity (PV) ≤4 kW (new build:pre 12 December) 37.8 25
Solar Electricity (PV) ≤4 kW (from 12th December) 21.0 25
Wind ≤1.5 kW 36.2 20
Wind >1.5kW - 15kW 28.0 20
Micro CHP ≤2 kW 10.5 10
Hydroelectricity ≤15 kW 20.9 20

How much is paid?

This is dependant on type and size of system installed, but you can expect to receive roughly up to 43.3p/kwhr. You will receive an additional 3.3p/kwh for any surplus power you export to the national grid. Solar Panel owners can receive payments for 25 years after their system is installed. As a general guide, roughly £830 per year can be earned from a 2kwp system.

The Government has made a recent Carbon Reduction Agreement making solar pv the most popular option for commercial and private green renewable energy source. As of April 2010, homeowners are paid for all electricity generated from their solar pv system, not just electricity which is sent to the national grid.

What our Customers say...

"Nice & friendly, non-pushy salesman. Great quote. Clean, friendly team of fitters / electricians. Prepared to cater for any requirements. Couldn't have wished for a better experience. Would have no hesitation in recommending this company. My neighbour was sceptical because of the price quoted, but we both ordered a pv system, and we're both very satisfied indeed." - Mr K Walden
